Billy Taylor: Security Supervisor for MFI Runcorn
Billy Taylor is the man responsible for Ray's ill health & on going unemployment. He is guilty of the following crimes against Ray Jones: (In chronological order)
He did not fill in Ray's
contract of employment
He only allowed Ray to have 3
days training for a very complex job
He spoke about Ray's
'mistakes' to Ray's brother instead of to Ray himself.
Ray's contract stated he was
entitled to overtime but the Supervisor refused it
He forced Ray to work bank
& statutory holidays - against his contract
He lied to Ray about him being
taken on permanently after 6 months
He allowed another Guard to do
the rotas leaving Ray with illegal shift patterns, making him work 12 &
13 hour shifts with an 8 hour rest in between
He allowed a 12 year old girl
into the lodge who swapped keys around, spilt fizzy drinks on the CCTV
equipment, dropped crisps & sweet wrappers all over the lodge
He passed all of his duties on
to Ray & his colleagues so he did nothing on his shift
He took Ray off the First Aid
Course but continued telling Ray he had to carry out first aid on injured
workers
He refused to give Ray a
winter uniform, forcing him to wear short sleeves in the middle of winter
He spread malicious gossip
around the factory that Ray was a shit stirrer
He circled or penned out Ray's
messages in the security handover book - a sack able offence if it was
anyone but Billy Taylor who did this
He called Ray a militant when
he joined a union
He left 'catchphrases' instead
of detailed instructions for Ray to follow
He refused to give Ray credit
or thanks for any good work that he had done, even work done that was beyond
his job description
He told Ray he had a group
four guard lined up for his job - this 'threat' came true
He aimed filthy, abusive
language at Ray everytime he spoke to him
He gave Ray an unfair share of
shift patterns so that he could bully Ray every day
He complained to MFI Runcorn's
HR Officer, Steph Cusak about Ray's 'Poor Work Performance' without
producing any evidence to support his accusations
He refused to allocate
holidays that Ray requested & then booked himself off for the dates Ray
had asked for
He used his power of authority
against Ray & forced him to attend a very unfair disciplinary which
consisted of the following accusations:
Failed to lock up
warehouse & turn out lights
- the factory workers had told Ray that a mountain of pallets were
blocking the light switches & that they had locked up themselves -
Billy Taylor told Ray during the disciplinary that he should have
climbed over the mountain of pallets - have we mentioned that Billy
Taylor was Ray's Health & Safety Officer??
Wrote on the Master
Rota - Billy Taylor had put the
incorrect amount of hours worked in Ray's total - so Ray amended it
Complained about the
rota - Ray complained because
he was being given illegal shifts, is this a disciplinary offence - it
is when Billy does the rotas and you complain
Failed to fill up a
pool car - It was not Ray's job
to fill up the pool cars, that job belonged to Billy Taylor & Ray
had filled the car up, he made an admin mistake in the book - ¼ full
instead of ¾ full - Billy Taylor didn't even know how much fuel the car
held - ridiculous
Too many hours worked
- this is the accusation that was omitted but Steph still put down a
reply from Ray - amazing..
Allowed a car on site
- now even the supervisor had done this, it was impossible to stop some
cars because they couldn't leave the lodge to chase after them - this is
appalling..
Allowed a motor bike on
site - this is a lie, no motor
bike was on site. He must have needed a number 10 to round things off..
Weekend workforce
register - ray was accused of
not filling these sheets in, accusing him of not knowing how to do it -
Ray had always filled those registers in but now it was the managers
responsibility, not Ray's. 2 managers forgot to hand theirs in, so Ray
filled out spare ones & commented in the book that the 2 managers
hadn't handed theirs in - Billy Taylor didn't even bother to check to
see if Ray had filled them in so, Ray got disciplined for doing 2
managers jobs - very sad.
Went to the toilet
during an 8 hour shift - can
someone really get a final warning for this - this is pathetic
& finally, failed to fill the fire alarm with paper - this was not Ray's responsibility & the paper ran out before Ray came on shift - Billy Taylor was in charge of office administration so it was his job - he just can't do anything wrong can he..
So, we ask the question, if this isn't a bullying campaign, what is? We haven't finished yet.. Billy Taylor was caught on tape, manhandling & threatening Ray with physical violence in front of 2 witnesses - any other worker would be instantly dismissed, but not Billy Taylor aka Teflon Man
Billy Taylor
has also been found guilty of the following:
Allowed Frank Powell,
another guard, to threaten Ray's brother, also another guard with physical
violence
Forced Ray's brother to bring
his 15 year old son in to cover part of his night shift because the
supervisor refused to come in, which incidentally is why he gets paid more
than the guards
Snatched all of the overtime
pay because he had credit cards to pay off - he messed the guards shifts up
so no one else could put in for it, what a selfish thing to do
He allowed pornographic
material to be distributed from the lodge - against company regulations
He allowed the Factories Pool
Car to be driven without an MOT
He kept out of date duty sheets which referred to people authorized to hand out health & safety passes to workers
Now we come to the disciplinary in which we introduce you to..
Steph Cusak: HR Officer for MFI Runcorn
Steph Cusak is guilty of the following crimes against Ray Jones:
She removed his entitlement to
overtime pay from his contract without notice
She failed to keep detailed
records of meetings with Ray
She supported Billy
Taylor's unfair disciplinary against Ray by allowing the following:
She failed to carry out an
independent investigation to substantiate Billy Taylor's accusations
She arranged the
disciplinary to happen after Ray had just completed the night shift
because he would be tired
Ray was not told what he
was being disciplined for
No dates were given for
the accusations made against Ray
Billy Taylor
continually interrupted Ray's explanations for each accusation
No evidence was produced
to support Billy Taylor's accusations
Ray was given a final
warning for his first 'offence'
He was not told what
improvements were expected of him
He was not told how long
he had to appeal
He was not given a letter
confirming the 'final warning'
He was not told how long
the 'final warning' would stay on his record
Ray was told there were 10
accusations against him but only 9 were brought up at the disciplinary,
however, in Steph's notes, she wrote down 10 replies from Ray
instead of 9
Billy Taylor
& Steph Cusak removed the handover book that could vindicate
Ray & refused to give it to him, they also refused to photocopy it
because they knew it would prove Billy is a Bully
Steph Cusak only gave Ray 48hrs to appeal - his contract states 7 days
If this wasn't bad enough, Steph
decided that Ray should be disciplined again - this time for tape recording Billy
Taylor bullying him - Steph decided in her wisdom that Ray should be
dragged into the office & disciplined whilst he was signed off work by his
doctor - his illness at this point is recorded as 'Stress & Depression
caused by workplace bullying'. Ray was unable to drive because his doctor had
prescribed serious medication to prevent him from committing suicide, so he
missed the second disciplinary. It should be noted that the disciplinary letter
was hand delivered to the wrong address by the company's gardener
Steph was aware of Ray's situation but this didn't bother her - she now
decided that 2 weeks off sick was too much - even though Ray's contract stated
he was allowed to be off under those circumstances - so, she trotted off to Alan
Mercer who sacked Ray for being absent. Not because of his 'poor work
performance' not because he 'taped his bullying supervisor' not for gross
misconduct - Ray was dismissed because he was a temporary worker with no rights
& Steph & Billy were up to their necks in it.. Again, they
sent their Gardener out to hand deliver the letter - 2 letters went to 2 wrong
addresses, Ray found out that he had been sacked when a woman knocked on his
door saying a man had just put this letter through her letter box, she had
opened it & was very sorry but he had been sacked - so much for
confidentiality!!
Before we move on to the next bully, Steph committed another crime
against Ray - She said that Ray had a 'poor work record' so we asked Steph
to send us Ray's work records including all complaints that had been made about
him - to make sure she couldn't get out of this one, we asked her to state if no
complaints had been made..
Naughty Steph - she used this as her opportunity to send Ray her 'notes' (more
like 3 year old scribble) from the disciplinary, the final warning letter &
nothing else - she didn't send copies of his contracts or any of his work
records, she also failed to mention if no complaints had been made - this is
against the law Ms Cusak, have you never heard of Data Protection, temps
do have rights.
Your purpose as HR Officer is not to protect the workers, we know that - your
job is to keep the company out of court - you failed miserably & you should
be sacked - clueless!!
We now come to the crimes committed by the General Manager..
Jim Turner: General Manager, MFI Runcorn
Jim Turner
had a Duty of Care to Ray which meant he had the overall responsibility to Ray's
Health & Safety whilst he was in work.
Ray sent Jim Turner a letter, begging him for help because he was being
bullied and he feared for his job because of his paranoid, incompetent
supervisor, Billy Taylor but Jim Turner ignored Ray & Billy
Taylor continued to bully Ray.
Jim Turner refused to see Ray after he had been manhandled &
threatened with assault - he told Ray's legal advisor that he had received Ray's
letter & he was carrying out his own investigation.
Jim Turner did not inform Ray of his findings, instead, Ray was dismissed
from MFI Ltd by the Factory Manager, Alan Mercer whilst he was signed off
work by his doctor.
Jim Turner later denied receiving Ray's letter when questioned by higher
management - well Mr Turner, we don't like liars, especially ones like
you who have a Duty of Care to your employees.
If Ray had succeeded in killing himself, Jim Turner would have been
charged with corporate manslaughter, a crime that carries a prison sentence - We
ask the question; Is there a difference between ignorance & incompetence? In
Jim Turner's case, no there isn't - the 2 go hand in hand.
Jim Turner supports workplace bullying & the workplace bully - we'll
be keeping an eye on you from now on because it's quite obvious that you haven't
got a clue about protecting your workers from harm.. tut tut
Because Jim Turner ignored
Ray, he had no other choice than to tape record the bullying - he thought no one
believed him, so Ray got himself wired up with a Dictaphone & boom mike
& he taped Billy Taylor bullying him
This would now be used against Ray - he was not allowed to tape record his
supervisor & this was a disciplinary offence - the disciplinary was to be
carried out by Steph & Billy - again! Where was Jim Turner
when all of this was happening? Hiding under his desk with the T&G Union??
Richard Armstrong: HR Manager, MFI Ltd
Richard Armstrong
was put in charge of investigating Rays complaint about Billy Taylor, his
unfair dismissal & his untruthful, bias work records.
Unfortunately, he turned out to be just as incompetent, or should we say as
stupid as the rest of them - his officer, Steph Cusak fed him a load of
bull because she had to cover her incompetent backside. So, there is poor Richard
quoting things to Ray as fact, only for evidence to be produced which proved he
was 'misinformed'.
His faux pars were becoming ridiculous & slanderous so we had to end the
meeting - he promised Ray that he had taken everything he said seriously &
that he would keep Ray informed of his progress. He also altered the SSP1 form
that Steph Cusak & the wages clerk had messed up with the wrong
dates.
Richard Armstrong did not keep his promises - we never found out the
outcome of his investigation - we left messages but he never returned them.
The more serious issue however is that Richard Armstrong refused to co
operate with the Benefits agency who were trying to sort Ray's Incapacity
Benefit claim out. Because Richard altered the dates, he had to confirm
it in writing - the BA sent fax after fax but still nothing came back from Richard.
In the mean time, Ray could not get benefits - his bank account was overdrawn
& he had massive debts to pay off - he went without money for 3 months
because Richard Armstrong decided to join in the bullying campaign
against Ray.
As with most bullying cases, the victim can only take so much & this
eventually happened to Ray - after finding out that his payment was to be
delayed again, he attempted suicide.. fortunately, he didn't succeed. The
Benefits Agency were informed of Ray's condition & his circumstances - they
immediately put a customer relations officer in charge of his claim & she
bypassed the red tape to hurry Ray's claim through.
Mr Armstrong.. You're a pathetic fool
Dave Pocknell: Employment Relations, MFI Ltd
David Pocknell
was an absolute disgrace - he is a very rude & obnoxious man who stood up
& shouted at Ray's Legal Advisor in a threatening manner during the meeting
- all because she caught him out & he didn't like it - he told Ray to 'shut
up' when he broke down as the tape recording of him being bullied by Billy
Taylor was played - to stop Ray from crying, he opened the door so everyone
could see him..
Dave Pocknell has no feelings, he is old school & does not understand
the way things work in this century - he is insensitive & uncaring - his job
title is a joke, or it would be if it wasn't a serious issue..
Well Mr Pocknell, Only the fool despises wisdom and instruction, you will
do well to remember that!!
Laura Ryan: HR Director, MFI Ltd
Poor Laura Ryan must have
thought she was very clever - she listened to the bullies & read the bias
untruthful reports, she didn't bother meeting or even speaking to Ray before
sending him a letter full of defamatory bull.
Laura Ryan is guilty of the following:
Accusing Ray of 'continued
absence' the first time he had been off in 8 months & was in fact signed
off work by his doctor - the reason, stress & depression caused by
workplace bullying!
Accused Ray of 'inadequate
work performance' which resulted in a final warning - this was her
understanding based on what Billy Taylor put in Ray's records.. Does Laura
Ryan encourage management to treat their workers in this way?
Accused Ray of not attending
the second disciplinary for tape recording Billy Taylor bullying him
despite a 'series of communications' - does Laura know that the only
communication Ray received about this disciplinary was via MFI Runcorn's
Gardener who delivered the letter to the wrong address?
Accused Ray of 'provoking
& orchestrating an event with Billy Taylor which was tape
recorded' - Billy Taylor does not need any encouragement to bully his
workers - it's a mixture of him being incompetent & having a personality
disorder which makes him bully - Ray taped Billy bullying him because Jim
Turner ignored his pleas for help
Accused Ray of not fulfilling
his job description - the company didn't allow Ray to carry out his job
description because they overloaded the guards with managerial tasks - The
guards also carried out Billy Taylor's responsibilities - Ray did
what he was told, he also went beyond his job description to help the
company
She accused Ray of being
partly to blame for being bullied - what planet do you come from woman - you
are the Director of HR yet you don't understand how bullies operate, but of
course - Ray had been sacked & you didn't want to be made a fool of. She
stated Billy Taylor had been disciplined for his behaviour on the tape
recording, but for Ray, who was the victim, he was sacked - disgraceful!
She accused Ray of not knowing
what his job description was - this is a joke, Billy Taylor's job
description form was dated 1999 - it had security duties on it but because
the guards were overloaded with other peoples work they couldn't carry out
their duties - she went on to say that some practices that Ray had
complained about had now been changed, but Ray was still in the wrong..
They couldn't find evidence of
pornographic materials but did find other illegal goods on site which she
had now stopped, but Ray was still a bad worker..
She then accused Ray of not
following the correct complaints procedure - Ray did follow company
procedure but because the General Manager doesn't give a toss about his
workers, there is basically no point in complaining, is there Laura?
She then went on to change Ray's date of dismissal yet again - Ray was now only given 4 days notice instead of a week - this was to mess Ray's benefit claim up again which was pure evil..
Laura Ryan finally stated that
they had covered up everything that Ray complained about & she could find no
sufficient evidence to give Ray his job back - sick joke!!
John Hancock: CEO, MFI Ltd
John Hancock was kept informed of developments by us - everything that happened was carbon copied to him - he knew what Ray had been put through but he chose to ignore us & let his puppets speak for him instead.
Well Mr Hancock, you must realise
by now that you cannot get away with abusing a British Citizen in this way &
get away with it - even if the law allows you to.
You have chosen to support a lazy incompetent man who chose to abuse his power
of authority & bully those he was supposed to encourage - you chose to get
rid of a hard worker who went beyond his duties for your company with no
thanks..
Your decision has put the health & safety of other MFI Ltd employees at risk
because the bully is still there, continuing most of his old practices - how
long do you think it will be before he does it again - will you continue to
support him?
You might be good at saving money, but your not very good when it comes to
treating your employees with a bit of respect - shame on you John Hancock, shame
on you!!
You are a true Fat Cat who probably has pictures of Margaret Thatcher
hanging on the walls - you shouldn't treat people like scum because they have a
nasty habit of fighting back..

Transport & General Workers Union (T&G)
Now we come to the union - the
union who bullied their way into MFI. Only a handful of MFI
workers wanted the T&G, the majority already had a union, one that
fought for their members rights but MFI didn't like that so they signed a
sweetheart deal with the T&G so that they were the only union the
company would recognise - sod the fact no one wanted them.
Ray joined the T&G, he didn't know what was going on in the other
branches of MFI but he thought that he would be safe with union support -
only problem was, the T&G don't support the worker, they support the
company.
Both Ray & his Legal Advisor rang Tommy Kerwin, we think he's the
Branch secretary in Liverpool, anyway - he was told of every bullying incident -
did he help Ray, did he hell.. Even when Ray was about to be sacked, he insisted
that he didn't know who to speak to - we were not to speak to the General
Manager, Jim Turner because according to Tommy Kerwin, Jim
Turner did not employ Ray (Jim Turner's name is on the offer of
employment letter)
Tommy Kerwin told us that the T&G would sue MFI for
using a minor to cover part of a night shift at the supervisors request - then
Tommy conveniently forgot about this..
The T&G took Ray's money but refused to help him - had he been with
the union that the company ignored, he would have been supported..
Shame on you T&G - you should all hang your heads in shame - everyone
is on to what you are doing (or not doing) & you are to be challenged -
publicly.. You might think you can get away with these practices, but when the
word spreads that you support workplace bullies, no one will want to know you!!

We're not naming the solicitor
because he was simply following orders, however, he threatened Ray which means
we have to publish the details of his crimes..
This is the e-mail Ray received from the Solicitor:
We act for MFI UK Ltd ("MFI")
It
has been brought to our client's attention that you are using an identical
domain name to our client's trading name.
Ok - we are not using an identical domain name & if this is the case, has an
e-mail been sent to www.mfi.com or www.mfi.net
or are we being singled out?
This
is in our view a clear breach of our client's Intellectual Property. Our
client also has an action against you for passing off.
Passing Off means pretending to be someone else - have we ever claimed that we
sell dodgy flat pack furniture? No we haven't.. We
are Manufacturers Fighting Injustice in the UK, abbreviated, that is MFIUK - we
are fighting an online campaign against injustice - we have never claimed to be
doing anything else.
In
addition we believe the domains do not justify any claim by you that you have a
legitimate business interest in the names as you could quite easily
refer to your site as Manufacturers Fighting Injustice
UK.co.uk etc etc
Ok, this one was funny - we went on a search & found a domain name that no
one, except MFI Furniture Ltd, would want - MFI's full title www.mullardfurnitureindustriesuk.co.uk
- or is it that only MFI are allowed to abbreviate their full title - do
as we say & not as we do...
We laughed at this bit - any court would throw this case out & if they were
silly enough to sue us, the media would have had a field day - & hang on,
what's this, they wanted us to 'hand over' our domain names to them - Is this
yet another MFI employee bullying Ray - tut tut..
Oh good Lord - Ray is being threatened with
Court Action unless he hands his domain names over to the people who abused him
- Trans Corpus Meum Mortuum!!
MFI want Ray's domain names because they keep giving out their wrong
e-mail address' & we keep getting their mail - this is not our fault, it's
theirs. We do not receive misdirected e-mails for any other MFI company..
The solicitor apologised for the above e-mail insisting that it was a standard
letter - we on the other hand say if it looks like a threat & it sounds like
a threat, then it's a threat & we won't be threatened!!
We're still waiting to be taken to court by the way - we were so looking forward
to it as well. We really hate it when people don't do what they promised (or
threatened in this case)
The British Government has a lot
to answer for - by denying temporary workers (people with less than 12 months
employment with the company) their human rights, they are basically allowing
modern day slavery to thrive..
MFI Furniture Ltd are a prime example of this ridiculous loop hole - they
are getting rid of their permanent workforce & replacing them with temporary
workers because they have no rights - no right to a pension, holiday
entitlement, full pay & bonuses & of course, temporary workers can be
sacked for any reason without the company facing prosecution.
You could say that you have protected temporary workers by giving them full
rights if their complaint about the company is serious - just like Ray's
complaint however, no solicitor will take a case on unless a worker has 12
months because they can't get insurance for a no win no fee.
Allegations of bullying can only be heard at a tribunal yet you must have 12
months employment before the Tribunal will recognise you - this is very wrong..
How can a British Citizen be treated the way Ray Jones was? How can a company as
big as MFI Furniture Ltd get away with breaking the law yet face no
consequences?
Can we please see a change in the law so that good, decent, hard working people
like Ray Jones can take action against companies like MFI Furniture Ltd
who nearly bullied him to death

that what happened to Ray Jones could happen to you or your friends or family -
everytime someone starts a new job, they are automatically classed as a
temporary worker who has no rights whatsoever - this is wrong & we have to
make the Government see sense!
