MFI Furniture Ltd
is a very large UK manufacturing company, famous for selling flat pack
furniture that fell apart within days, if not hours..
The people who run MFI Furniture Ltd can be found here
Are you
unsuspectingly buying from MFI?
MFI bought out companies
who 'had' reputable names, they are:
Hygena & Schreiber
Schreiber was the best UK furniture Manufacturer until MFI
bullied their way in to old man Schreiber's factory & took over - he
would turn in his grave if he knew what you had done..
There is also Howdens
Joinery (which is going to America) & another MFI Company
to look out for is MFI Financial Services Ltd, who insure your
furniture or so you think they do.. We've seen a lot of complaints (or
is it confusion) about MFI warranties & Insurance..
MFI Employees:
MFI
workers are treated very badly indeed. The company's main workforce is
made up of temporary workers, usually from agencies.. Management has
been seen crossing temporary workers names off work sheets because they
were 'ugly' or 'didn't fit in' - these are not legal reasons for not
employing someone but MFI allow their managers to play God with
people's lives..
MFI have also ignored the union that the overwhelming majority of
the workforce wanted & instead signed a sweetheart deal with the T&G,
who ignore complaints about workplace bullying & health & safety
breaches..

Health
and Safety
The MFI Board is committed to maintaining a Health and Safety Policy,
which has the following key objectives:
- Provision
of a safe place of work for all employees and contractors.
- Provision
of a safe environment for customers.
- Integration
of health and safety to be a core component of management
decisions.
- Consultation
and participation of all employees in health and safety
management.
- Regular
monitoring and evaluation of the health and safety policies and
practices of manufacturing, logistics, UK retailing, Howden
Joinery, and International divisions.
This statement is to
make MFI look good but they can't stop their abused workers going
public, like Ray Jones has done - his case blows this statement out of
the water!! MFI do not care about their workers, just the share holders
& their public image..
People and
values
Our collective objectives
are:
- Customers'
needs and concerns served by offering quality products, affordable
prices and outstanding service.
- Shareholders
served by receiving superior returns.
- MFI
known in the corporate "community" as an admired,
respected and chosen employer.
Admired, respected and
chosen employer? MFI employees are treated as disposable slaves - MFI
are famous for their bullying tactics - why is it that they can get away
with putting this sort of bull on the net??
And if MFI do really care about their customer's 'needs & concerns',
why did hundreds of them write to Watchdog & post numerous
complaints about customers services in UK newsgroups - this is not the
behaviour of satisfied customers!
We found the following
piece from John Hancock, CEO of MFI
John Hancock, Chief
Executive, said:
"I am pleased to announce another highly positive set of results,
which include our first-ever £1 billion annual sales. They testify to
the effective work of everyone in the Group and to the success of our
programme to transform the MFI business. We have improved our
performance and financial position, created a solid foundation for
future growth, identified a range of high-potential, low-risk
opportunities both in the UK and abroad, and plan further investment to
exploit them to the full".
Low risk opportunities
are not the only thing MFI like to exploit - they enjoy
exploiting their workforce everyday!!
Money is the root of all evil Mr Hancock, looks like it has you in it's
grip!!
